Industrial heat treatment of metals in the steel and aluminium industries is the specialist field for CalorMet, a group whose companies have a long history and a strong foothold in the Nordic market. The CalorMet group was formed in 2021 when it acquired Industrial Furnace Tech i Eskilstuna AB and integrated it together with the previous holding, Nordic Furnaces.

CalorMet specialises in furnaces and equipment for the industrial heat treatment of iron, steel, aluminium, zinc and other metals. The company offers new furnace facilities, as well as modernisation and maintenance of existing facilities, and also has its own development and production of furnaces and key components.

The market is driven mainly by clients wanting to improve efficiency and reduce costs in production by reducing energy costs, improving maintenance scheduling and increasing capacity utilisation, for instance. CalorMet’s clients include most of the major engineering companies, such as Volvo, SKF, Atlas Copco, SSAB and Sandvik.
