Geogruppen i Göteborg AB was founded in 2006 and is a leading stakeholder in the market for geological operations, providing services in five main business areas: geotechnics, core drilling, energy and water, contract work and environmental technology.

Geotechnical surveys are conducted prior to construction of roads, railways, buildings, bridges, etc., and include technical investigations of the technical properties of soil and rock. Based on the knowledge obtained, construction methods and technical solutions are then planned, such as the reinforcements required to ensure the load-bearing capacity of the soil and to avoid subsidence, collapse and erosion. As geothermal energy and geothermal heating become more common in society, the demand for various drilling operations related to energy has also increased. Geogruppen uses modern, green drill rigs for its geotechnical field surveys.

Geogruppen has 27 employees, its head office is in Gothenburg, and the company has an annual turnover of around SEK 50 million, with good profitability. The company’s clients are companies, local authorities and private individuals, and the company offers its services throughout the Nordic region.
